Company ProfileIn 1988, then Shanghai Mayor Zhu Rongji vigorously restructured the taxi industry. The predecessor of Dazhong Transportation Group, Shanghai Dazhong Taxi Company, was established on December 24 of the same year. With a new service-first concept, it created a 'red whirlwind' and set a new trend in the taxi industry.
The company was listed on the Shanghai Stock Exchange in 1992, issuing both A-shares and B-shares, becoming the first joint-stock company in China's taxi industry. In August 1999, it was renamed Dazhong Transportation (Group) Co., Ltd.
The Group adheres to a dual-engine development path of industrial capital and financial capital, building three major industrial ecosystems: integrated transportation, financial investment, and real estate. It has become a modern service group with sustainable development capabilities and moderate diversification. Its business covers 16 provinces and cities and 50 key business cities across China. It has been listed among the top 100 private enterprises in Shanghai for many consecutive years and served as the designated comprehensive supporting service provider for major international events and exhibitions such as the 2007 Special Olympics, 2008 Olympics, 2010 World Expo, and Shanghai Import Expo.
As of June 30, 2019, the Group's total assets were RMB 16.591 billion, with net assets of RMB 9.065 billion. Over the years, it has returned a total of RMB 4.042 billion to shareholders through cash dividends and bonus shares.
