In 1998, Masteel General Company was legally restructured into Masteel (Group) Holding Co., Ltd. Over more than 50 years of development, Masteel has made significant contributions to China's iron and steel industry: In the 1960s, it built China's first wheel and tyre plant, filling the gap in domestic production of wheels and tyres. It created the civilized production experience known as 'Three Cleans, Four Zeros, Five No-Leaks, Standardization, and Alignment,' earning the reputation 'A Flower in Jiangnan' nationwide. In the 1980s, it built China's first high-speed wire rod mill, becoming the cradle of China's high-speed wire rod rolling technology.
